In a chart the size of a group is the result of a calculation. A
function you choose calculates a result from all items in a group
in the chart. With the result of the calculation, the groups in the
chart are sized. For example, if you want to create a chart to
display the number of service calls having a specific priority code
assigned. In this example, you group the items by priority and then
count the items in each group. If there are more service calls with
priority code 'High' than there are service calls with priority
code 'Normal', then the group for 'High' is made proportionally
larger than the group for 'Normal'.
You can see the items in the group by double-clicking the group.
At the bottom of the chart, the items in the group are shown in a
table view. You can select the table view that shows the details of
the group.
Furthermore, you can change the type of chart and colors.
In the Other dialog box, do one of the
following:
To change the table view showing details of the group, select a
table view in the Table view showing details list.
You can create a new table or modify a selected table by clicking
New or Modify respectively. If no
table view is chosen, Service Desk will use the user's default
table view.
Select a field from the Field list.
To change the function used to size the group in the chart,
select a function in the Function list.
Choose COUNT to size the group according to the number of items
per group. If you select this function, the field selected in the
Field list doesn't influence the result.
Choose SUM to size the group according to the total calculated
from the values in the selected field.
Choose AVERAGE to size the group according to the average
calculated from the values in the selected field.
Choose MIN to size the group according to the minimum value
found in the selected field.
Choose MAX to size the group according to the maximum value
found in the selected field.
To change the type of chart, click More.
To change the colors in the chart, click
More.
To change the 2D and 3D effects in the chart, click
More.
