You can change the formatting of a line depending on the
information shown in the line. This way, you can be notified of a
specific status of the line.
To create a new rule for displaying lines, click
Add and change the settings of the rule in the
Rule Properties area.
To modify a rule, select the rule from the View
Rules list and change the settings of the selected rule in
the Rule Properties area. You cannot modify a rule
defined by the system administrator.
The list of rules is processed from the top to the bottom. If a
rule applies, none of the rules further down the list are applied.
To move a rule to the top of the list, select the rule in the
View Rules list and click Move
Up.
To move a rule to the bottom of the list, select the rule in
the View Rules list and click Move
Down.
In the Rule Properties area do one of the
following:
Give an easy to use name to the rule in the
Name field.
Set the font style by clicking the appropriate option. Click
the Color button to select the color of the text
from a palette.
Set the condition for the rule. The font of a line is changed
according to the font settings if the content of an item's field
meets the set condition.
To create or modify a condition:
Click Condition.
Select a field from the Fields list. You can
select any of the fields in the item. If the field refers to
another item, you can also select fields from the referred
item.
Select an operator from the Operator list. The
operator determines how the value is compared to the field's value
to make the rule apply. For example, if you select 'is more than',
then the font is changed in the line containing an item where the
field's value is greater than the value given in the
condition.
Depending on the selected field, select or type a value in the
Value field.
