Views give you a look at the information in a Service Desk item. For each Service Desk item you can create a number of views. In each different view, the data is arranged in a different manner and displayed in a different format.
There are system views and user views. The system views are created by the system administrator for example during deployment of the application. You load a system view to your hard disk the first time you open the view. System views are the same for all users of Service Desk. User views are the views you make yourself. User views are created and stored on your own hard disk only.

You can modify existing views. Modifications to system views are stored only on your local hard disk. If you modify a system view you can always reset it to the original settings if necessary.
You can create one of five available view types. Each type having a specific use.
