Changing folders for applications

With smart actions you can start external applications and pass parameters to those applications. Smart actions are created by the system administrator. The application's location on your computer may be different from the application's location on your colleague's computer. If the application's location is not correct, the smart action will not work.

To change the folders of external applications to the locations as they are on your computer:

  1. Choose Options from the Tools menu.
  2. Click the Applications tab.
  3. In the Applications tab page, select the application for which you want to change the directory.
  4. To change the directories, click Modify.
  5. In the Application dialog box, change the directory where the application is located in the Command line field. The Command line field should contain the full path and file name of the application.
  6. Change the folder in the Start in field. The start in folder is the folder where the application starts looking for files. The start in folder is different for different applications.

NOTE: To reset the directories to the system default, click Reset.
