Using Service Today

Service Today is a comprehensive overview of the work that is assigned to you. Service Today shows all service calls, incidents, work orders, problems and changes that have you as the responsible person. Assignments are a powerful tool to make a specialist responsible for handling an item. With the assignment every Service Desk user can see who is responsible for an item. With Service Today you can see the items for which you have responsibility.

Although the Service Today view appears to be the same as an item's view, Service Today is not an item. You cannot create new items in Service Today. You can create and modify views on Service Today as you would with any view.

Double-click an item to open the item. The item will open in the default form of that item. If you open a problem you will see a different form than when you open a work order. Pay attention to the icon in the line to see what kind of item it is.
