There are two ways you can be notified by Service Desk when an
item is assigned to you.
If you have unopened items waiting for your attention, you may
see an icon blinking in the Windows system tray. A sound may also
alert you that there is an unopened item awaiting your
attention.
Service Desk may notify you of newly assigned items through
e-mail. The e-mail message sent by Service Desk contains the basic
information of the item that is assigned to you
Both options must first be set up from within the Service Desk
application. After you receive a notification, open the item in
Service Desk or you use your self-service pages to view the
item.
